Bear Hunting

Black Bear are all over the mountain. The berries start in July and we've got them all; blueberries, raspberries, and tons of blackberries. Lets not forget the apples, acorns, and beech nuts. This area is bear heaven. We average about 150 pound bear but have taken much bigger. So far we have been able to manage the bear we have taken. We have not shot a sow in the past three years. This has made us feel good, as to the number of bear we have in the area. The lodge only accepts up to 10 hunters per week, so as not to tax the amount of bear in the area. We take pride in trying to give our hunters the best that we can; good food, good hunting and good hospitality. If you are one of the lucky hunters we can store, and prepare your trophy for that mount of a lifetime. We do this willingly and at no extra charge. Most of the sites are proven and have been in place for several years. Some sites have produced great opportunities for the past four years. We all have a great time and do our best to make sure you do too. These pictures are of 1997 through 2000 hunters and their trophies.
